GW-PRO2 Gang Programmer

We support a series of production quality 8-gang programmers for the Sam-sung OTP and MTP microcontrollers of SAM4(S3P7xxx series), SAM8(S3P8xxx, S3P9xxx series), CalmRISC(S3FBxxx, S3FKxxx series) and ARM7(S3F4xxx, S3F3xxx) family. They are operated in stand-alone mode for factory programming without PC and can also be conne-cted a PC to program devices, set up operation mode or download data files. Its unique features allow the user to quickly and securely program devices. Simple one-key operation requires no special technical expertise from your production staff.
Gang programmer consists of a master unit(GW-PRO2) which connects to various progra-mming adapter sockets for programming all of OTP or MTP devices with a different pack-age. The GW-PRO2 programmer holds the data and parametric information to be copied new devices. Once the data resides inside the buffer memory of GW-PRO2, it will be stored securely and is protected from accidental modifications with its secured functions. Data in the GW-PRO2 can be changed by downloading from a PC or by reading a chip in the master socket.

  • All Samsung serial type OTP microcontrollers of SAM4(S3P7xxx), and SAM8(S3P8xxx,    S3P9xxx) series including S3P1860 device.
    　
  • All Samsung serial type MTP(Flash) microcontrollers of SAM4, SAM8, CalmRISC and  ARM7 families with 3.3V or 5.5V operating Voltage.
[ Features ]
  • Program up to 8 devices at one time
  • Very fast programming speed:
    Program speed is 2K byte(OTP mode) and 5K byte(MTP) steps per second including verification operation.
  • Supports all Samsung serial type OTP and MTP devices of SAM4(S3P7xxx series) and SAM8(S3P8xxx, S3P9xxx series), CalmRISC(S3FBxxx, S3FKxxx series), and ARM7/9(S3F4xxx series) families via different programming adapters.

  • Supports MTP devices with 3.3V and 5.5V operating voltage
  • Individual socket LEDs indicate blank or verification result
  • 340(mm) x 230(mm) x 50(mm), 2.2Kg weight
  • Data to be programmed is stored inside the flash memory of the GW-PRO2 and remains intact during power down. This feature is useful to move it to the production site after downloading data from the host PC and setting up the operation mode in the design lab.
     
  • Maximum buffer memory is 1Mbyte (1024 Kbytes) 
  • Auto verification of devices and the buffer memory in the stand-alone mode
  • Selectable program mode (Auto read protection, LDC protection, Hard lock)
  • The total number of pass and failed device after programming is displayed and remains during power down
  • Buzzer sounds after programming finished( On/Off selectable )
  • Complies to manufactures' programming specifications
[ PC-hosted Operating Mode ]
  • Serial port interface (38400bps)
  • Supports Samsung standard hex or Intel hex format data for downloading file into the buffer memory
  • The driver software is user friendly single-menu operation
    - User can easily select device type or configuration settings
    - All programming functions are available globally via hot keys: Read master   socket,   Program, Verify, Read(code) protection, Blank check, Checksum,   Erase, LDC protection,Hard lock,  and Auto( Blank -> Program -> Verify ->   Read protection)
  • Full screen data dump in hex mode
  • Batch mode to program multiple data files to one device.
    - Download different files by changing start and end address and program all   data from address 0 to the end address of last file.
  • Select Key Lock function for simple one-key operation in the stand-alone mode. If Key Lock is selected, only program, verify and blank check functions are available in the stand-alone mode for protecting operator's mistake

  • Full function menus( ROM size selection, Read, Program, Verify, Blank check, Checksum, Erase, Auto read protection/LDC protection/Hard lock selection, Buzzer sound selection ) for higher level personnel
  • Key Lock function menus( Program, Verify, Blank check, Checksum ) for operation staff
  • Program, Blank check or Verify is available with eight devices at one time
  • 2 lines x 16 characters LCD display provides function menus and programming results
